Abstract: Background and Aims: Vanilla is one of the well-known genera family Orchidaceae due to ornamental, medicinal culinary attributes some its taxa. The genus pantropical has about 120 species mostly found in Neotropics. objective this study was report occurrence V. karenchristianae Brazilian Atlantic Forest. Methods: We present a morphological description based on analysis newly population state Bahía, Brazil, materials collected other sites country deposited herbaria. Also, we provide taxonomical habitat comments, photographs, distribution map Brazil. Key results: record represents most eastern approximately 2380 kilometers far from nearest locality where been recorded. In currently known Amazon Forest phytogeographic domains only four localities, including added here. Conclusions: Further recording efforts are necessary fully understand geographical ecological requirements karenchristianae.
